I am fascinated with the pay it forward things going around. Locally we have a radio station advertising The Drive Thru Difference where you pay for meal of the person behind you. I just love it! I've done it a few times and it is so fun!! Have you ever participated in something like that or had your ticket taken care of? It will make your day!

Oh Dear...Where has the time gone?

Holy almost February! I have been horrible at updating! So sorry! I promise to try to be better! We've had a lot going on here since my last update in December. Ky and I were sick 2 weeks ago with strep and tonsillitis and now sister is dealing with an icky wheezy cough.

Let's see...last Saturday we made an impromptu visit to Petco. My kids love to go there and look at the hamsters, ferrets, snakes etc. Well who knew Saturdays were adoption days! We ended up bringing home this little fur ball! How cute is she? We named her Nala! We immediately fell in love with this 1.25 lb baby! Someone had left her and her siblings in a box on the side of the highway. So sad! Long story short, Nala took a very bad turn on Sunday (the day after we got her.) I spent the day syringe feeding her pedialyte every 30 minutes. Monday we took her to an emergency vet where she almost left us. She spent all week there and we finally brought her home Friday. We are now syringe feeding her every 2 hours around the clock so needless to say we are TIRED around here. She is down to under a pound so we are praying that she recovers and we get to make lots of memories with her!

However I am trying to stay caught up with all my TSP orders. Here are some fun things I've done over the past few weeks.

I am not real sure where to start with this so please forgive me if I ramble.

I have said before there are times I struggle balancing TSP with being a wife and mother. I don't know if it is just my personality or time management or what, but my anxiety over all of this has begun again.

Many of you remember this post from last year. I stopped taking "custom orders"....(well sort of) to see if that would help me. However my biggest weakness is saying no. I just can't do it. I don't like to disappoint people so I usually say yes. :)

For example, back on June 3rd I said I wasn't taking any more orders so I could get caught up and guess what I've done? Yep, taken over 25 more orders since then. See I told you I have a problem. HA!

I work well into the wee hours of the morning most nights and then I can't figure out why I'm so tired the next day and not the mom I want to be. Hmmm....I think I know why! I have hated that for the past week I have had to leave family time to work. I love you guys and what I do, but I'd rather be swimming or hanging out with my kids in the evenings! Sorry!

I mean look at them, wouldn't you rather hang out with them too?!

So I've made a very difficult decision. I am not taking any more orders (for real this time. HA!) until the beginning of August. I am so sorry! If I have your order now, that doesn't include you. I have tons more orders to complete and I will get those done so don't worry if you have already contacted me. Also, don't fret if you are someone who contacted me after June 3rd with an order I am not "black listing" you. :) Ha!

I honestly hate doing this and hope you understand. I don't want people to think I complain or am not grateful, because I know there are many people who need/want a job right now and here I am making a decision to step away for a bit. I just have to remember that I have always said my family comes first and the only way for that to happen is for me to take a little break.

With that being said, I am planning on doing some giveaways this summer so keep checking Facebook and here for updates! I'll see you in August!! Have a great summer!! And since I am not having any more babies of my own, I have a tendency to steal other people's babies when they are around. :) I mean I give them back, but I just need a little fix now and then.

I am excited to offer a new market tote to TSP. I advertised these WAY back when and then went with a different company, but I'm excited to try these out! There are lots of other colors/designs, but I am starting with these. What a great wedding gift with picnic items, towels, etc. inside or they'd be great for a summer birthday with picnic items or to sport your team spirit!

I'm even more excited to carry these Carry All bags!! I have one that I have used for 2 years now and I get asked constantly where I got it. They are great for the pool with towels, snacks, and toys inside and I use mine every time I have tote food or gifts over the holidays or to parties!! Well the spring storms have arrived in OK. It's crazy here: blizzard one week, 70 degrees the next, and today dreary and rainy!

Umbrellas arrived yesterday, so I am going to be busy embroidering them to keep you and your little girls dry!

A sweet customer just went on a cruise. I'm just a tad envious. Ha! She brought me this cute make up bag to monogram.

I am always trying to think of new products to carry. I have a few new things in the works, but wanted to get some input from you. I think these umbrellas are PRECIOUS! One of my favorite verses in the Bible is 1 Corinthians 13:8. It says "Love Never Fails." I know it goes on to say more and it says great stuff before, but there is something about that verse that touches me. I think it goes along with the fact that the Bible also says in 1 John "God is Love" and if God is love and love never fails, then God never fails. I love knowing that! I also try to apply it in other areas in my life like remembering to show love to the sometimes "unlovable" kind of people. Ever run into those kind? Me either. Ha! Actually I can be pretty unlovable at times, just ask my husband after I've gone a few nights past my bedtime. :)

Extreme Makeover

**WARNING...VERY REVEALING POST...DON'T JUDGE MY OLD LACK OF ORGANIZATION! HA, HA!**

So as I have said many times before, when I started this little venture I never knew it would grow so quickly. I didn't want to commit my guest room to my work because it is right over our master bedroom and since I work late at night and my machine can be noisy. We decided to put my machine in a little extra room we have that isn't completely finished out, but it has electricity, heating/air, etc. It was basically a big walk in storage area for us where we kept our seasonal decorations and other misc. stuff. I basically left everything where it was and just put my embroidery/sewing stuff where I could. I think I got so used to it being so cluttered and packed I didn't realize how bad it had gotten. I looked like a hoarder! So not my personality! MY WORD...embarrassing...well when we took the Christmas stuff out to decorate this year, I decided it was time to purge. We took everything out of my "sewing room", which led to having to make room in our other walk in attic. It was busting at the seams too with my teaching stuff. I came to the realization I was never going back to the classroom so I gave everything away to make room for everything that was in the sewing room. Talk about a big move for me! However it was all worth it! Tickled Sew Pink now has a home of it's own and doesn't have to share with the Christmas Tree, pumpkins, and Easter baskets.

I even made myself a little "desk" of sorts. I was sewing and emailing from this little table before.

I have a friend making me a canvas painting that says "Grace for the Pace" so I remember to breathe during the busy times and instead of confessing "I'm so stressed" I will be thanking the Lord that he is giving me grace for the busy pace!

One day I will have a pretty work space, but for now this seems like a little piece of Heaven as compared to before.
